The 2026 edition of the Berg 100 brings you a premium new venue, Waterwoods Estate, and a revised loop route that will challenge you mentally and physically. This is essentially an MTB race, but is suitable for gravel and e-bikes as well. Bring you MTB, Gravel or E-Bike and take on this iconic race.
The 100km Berg Long route, is for those wanting to PUSH themselves and achieve this mighty distance! The challenges are in the 2000 meters of climbing and the distance.
The 67km Berg Lite route, is designed for those wanting a challenge and wanting to push themselves from a 40/50km ride to a 60/70km ride. It is also for those who might need to downgrade from the 100km!!!!!
These routes feature sublime views of the Drakensberg while you navigate through the mountains and valleys of the region.
Age:
You need to be turning 19 or older in 2026 to partake in the 100km event.
You need to be turning 15 or older in 2026 to partake in the 67km event.
Fees:
Early Bird Berg Long - R750
R800 normal
Early Bird Berg Lite - R480
R520 normal
R50 CSA day license for riders who do not have a racing license.
Registration:
Friday afternoon 3-6pm @ the Notties Hotel & Saturday morning 6:00 - 7:00 at Waterwoods.
Start Time:
Berg Long - 7:00am (MTB and Gravel in 1 batch) and E-Bikes 5 minutes after
Berg Lite - 7:15 / 7:30
Goodie bag:
Limited to first 700 Long & Lite riders.
Water Tables:
There will be 4 tables for the Long and 3 tables for the Lite.
Prize Giving:
12:30pm.
